The Hillside School & Learning Center:                       Learning for Success

Hillside School and Learning Center exists to help students be successful academically and socially. Small class size, a safe environment, individualized programs, and a high degree of flexibility define our approach.

Established in 1971 by Robert E. Dannenhold as a non-profit educational support facility for students with learning disabilities, Hillside has evolved into an interactive, participatory learning experience that identifies and amplifies the capabilities of each student and makes students aware of their ability to succeed.

We offer a wide range of services, all carefully woven into a comprehensive, coordinated, and highly effective whole.

The proof of our success is the success of our students. Many have attended some of the country's finest colleges. Others have enjoyed success at a wide range of business endeavors. The younger students in our after school and summer programs return to their classrooms better organized, more confident, and with greatly enhanced skills that help them excel.

Our campus, which was built to our specifications, is located at 4331 Oak Grove Dr., in La Cañada. We are one block south of La Cañada high school.
